This man has a degree in veterinary medicine and practices alternative medicine (naturopath). Loosely speaking, you can call him a doctor.

This video was ahead of its time.

I get my salt directly from the sea. One big jug put a couple table spoons in whatever I eat.

So you need the RIGHT amount of sodium chloride. It's always what I thought.
Which means having it within certain limits, not too much, not too little with a reasonable amount of lea way and it will depend on how much you sweat and how much water you drink. I think if you are pretty active, and sweat lots, it would be hard to overdose too severely. Id say it would be good to have a certain amount of sodium chloride and supplement it with potassium-magnesium salts for a broader profile of electrolytes. They could all be just chucked together in the same grinder and used to season your foods in the kitchen normally 🙂

What about gerson theraphy that says to avoid salt at all cost ?

Thank you Doc for your great advice.

so good to hear a doctor speaking the truth about salt. and how your body really needs it. I totally agree with him.and about those pharmaceutical company doctors that give people wrong advice. should be in jail…thank you

2-3 grams a day will keep the doctor away.

Thank you so much for contributing this information to the public. The false information that's perpetuated in the medical field is beyond reprehensible. Doctors are given dietary guidelines from major corporations like the FDA, USDA, American Heart Society and several others. These corporations are often funded by lobbyists of huge food companies like Pepsi who get them to do their studies. They even take on scientists from these companies to conduct research. Above that, some of the medical information is outdated and based on research that's been around for 30 to 50 years! The whole water myth for instance, and the saturated fat myth. NEVER buy hydrogenated oils like margarine, canola oil, corn oil, etc. Anyone who knows their research can tell a viable study from a one-sided study. There are too many cofactors in their analyses.

Very special conditons eh? People being overheated who do not consume more salt during a heat wave need their fucking heads checking, the rest of it, suspect – hunter gatherers did not have easy access to salt – why did humans survive then?

Thanks for this interview. 💚 That was so n e w : s a l t is needed for gastric acid ?!?!! I looked it up and found : 16Biomolecular Interactions and Pathways 16.1Biosystems and Pathways 2 items BioSystems ID BioSystems Name
    1458283 Gastric acid production
    1458396 Gastric acid pproduction
    9.4Absorption, Distribution and Excretion
Absorption – Absorption of sodium in the small intestine plays an important role in the absorption of chloride, amino acids, glucose, and water. Chloride, in the form of hydrochloric acid (HCl), is also an important component of gastric juice, which aids the digestion and absorption of many nutrients.
13.1.2Interactions – … Zinc (0.1 to 0.9 uM) infusion into the jejunum decr sodium absorption in humans.☝🏻☝🏻 Low dietary intake of sodium is associated with increased urinary zinc excretion, suggesting that a sodium-dependent mechanism may control renal tubular reabsorption of zinc.
Oh ! SO : we lose sodium when we sweat , urinate and should replace that loss.- It seems to be NOT helpful for our system to avoid salt. Of course we should not eat more than 5-6 g a day. (We have 150 to 300 gm in our body.)
